Album Review: Slow Magic - How To Run Away

"An album of luscious glo-fi that hypnotises and transports listeners faraway"

Slow Magic is another predictably enigmatic masked crusader preferring to champion his chillwave electronica anonymously. Supported by a framework of beats, this album features intricate layers of samples and synths conjuring hazy dreamy vibes that are seriously smooth. Still Life paints a picture with ‘70s-styled jazz funk sounds, while Bear Dance jumps to a fashion-conscious new disco beat. Cut up and pitch-altered vocal samples are sure to leave an almost pop impression on listeners, an effect best deployed on the trap-like machinations of Closer. An album of luscious glo-fi that hypnotises and transports listeners faraway.
