Album Review: Siskin River - The Hours They Keep

If this album helps them fund their touring schedule, then it’s a winner.

The charismatic sister-act that’s quickly become a favourite staple of the national festival circuit debuts with vigour and ambition. The Hours They Keep pays homage to literature, theatre and motion picture as much as it does the musical influences of the Siskin sisters. The studio release, of course, had big shoes to fill, given the raw energy of the duo’s live performances, and it does its darnedest to get there. If this album helps them fund their touring schedule, then it’s a winner.
