Album Review: Sienna Skies - A Darker Shade Of Truth

StarStarStarStar

"Between the dreamy clean vocals and the insane roars, Thomas Pirozzi's vocals are impeccable."

More Sienna Skies Sienna Skies

With sweeping leads and catchy riffs, Sydney's Sienna Skies new album is fierce, aggressive and brilliant.

Opener Misunderstood launches into brutal guitar riffs and killer screams while Palliative gets even more savage with its fast-paced drumming. Between the dreamy clean vocals and the insane roars, Thomas Pirozzi's vocals are impeccable, especially in Sepulchre and Divided where the screams hit high. There's No Place Like... takes a break from the aggressive riffs with its alternative sound while ballad Separated Hearts is a heart breaker, with acoustic guitars and slow piano that shows off the guy's softer side.
