If septuagenarians like Tom Jones, Mick Jagger and Neil Diamond are still getting about is there any reason why Dame Shirley Bassey or DSB as she’s known in some circles shouldn’t get in on the act?

This album delivers few surprises, DSB recording light orchestral easy-listening versions of many of her hits. DSB’s voice still sounds as seductive as ever but songs like Fever, It Was A Very Good Year and Wild Is The Wind mean that grandma or your favourite drag queen would love you for giving them this for Christmas. Goldfinger remains a treat.
