Somehow, by the end of the night Allen and Chavez achieve the seemingly impossible, bringing together all their creations into one hilariously wacky unifying narrative.

Melbourne International Comedy Festival favourites The Pajama Men are back. The Barry Award-winning duo have won plenty of critical acclaim in the past and watching their new show, Just the Two of Each of Us, it isn't hard to see why. Composed of Shenoah Allen (the Jim Carrey one) and Mark Chavez (The Steve Coogan one) the pair hit the sweet spot again and again with their perfectly proportioned blend of silly and clever. The show takes the form of a series of seemingly independent, quick-fire sketches. There are some brilliant character portraits; from Beulah, a midwestern teenager crushed by her bossy best friend to Leopold, medieval henchman and black-magic wielding wizard and Franz, a priapic adventure-seeker of indeterminate European origin. Somehow, by the end of the night Allen and Chavez achieve the seemingly impossible, bringing together all their creations into one hilariously wacky unifying narrative.
