Paco Erhard: A (Very Brief) History Of German Humour

"Erhard walks a fine line (on the odd occasion crossing it) but the laughs come quick and fast."

Paco Erhard is billed as Australia's favourite German comedian, and judging by the queue snaking down the street he might just be.

Erhard's cutting wit was well on display for the Fringe crowd as he combined sharp observations of Australian culture with self-deprecating humour. His machine-gun delivery peppered the audience with serious subjects of refugees, feminism, the size of toilet paper and meeting bogans in public toilets. It would be easy to try to be funny just by being controversial or offensive and Erhard walks a fine line (on the odd occasion crossing it), but the laughs come quick and fast with only a few flat spots. Grab a ticket and have a laugh. You won't regret it.
