"An Aussie band that could be about to explode."

More Ocean Grove More Ocean Grove

On a superficial level, one might think that Ocean Grove fit into the post-hardcore thing that has swept the world in the last five or six years.

And they can, if you want them to. They certainly appeal to that crowd. But they are way more than that as well.

This band inject so many other elements into their sound that it makes your head spin. They also do punk (These Boys Light Fires), industrial-tinged hip hop (Slow Soap Soak), indie pop-rock (The Wrong Way) and just about anything else they can throw at it. And the best thing about it is: it all sticks. This is a very special album from an Aussie band that could be about to explode.
