"The instrumentation is sparse and immaculately produced, leaving plenty of room for Bee to fill the space."

MT WARNING is named after the first place on mainland Australia to receive the sunlight each day.

The songs on their debut album, released last year, pointed towards an equally poetic future, singer Mikey Bee drawing inspiration from the Australian landscape. The Petrified Heart EP is a much more inwardly-focused collection. The instrumentation is sparse and immaculately produced, leaving plenty of room for Bee to fill the space between with his beautifully weary voice. While songs here are increasingly confessional, his lyrics don’t always reach the full feeling of catharsis they seek.
