Album Review: Mndsgn - Body Wash

On Body Wash, his second studio album on acclaimed independent label Stones Throw, Mndsgn commits fully to an '80s aesthetic and dares us not to groove.

With this sound being so prevalent these days, you may well ask whether you need more wobbly synths and airy vocals in your life. Fair question, but at least the man seems to be having fun with it. "You gotta use your mind, twenty-four seven", he usefully instructs. Later he takes a minute and half to Enter Her Adobe (actual song title). Recommend for fans of Dam-Funk, Toro y Moi and vibes, man.
