SET MO and DEUTSCH DUKE teamed up a little earlier for their passionate banger, ‘White Dress’. Featuring an extensive array of sounds contributing to a scape that makes you want to feel something, the pair did an incredible job in conceiving this one.
German duo SATIN JACKETS are ones for making big beats even bigger, and they’ve somehow done just this with ‘White Dress’.
Transitioning it from a passionate love jam to a late night ballad that fondles with your mind, SATIN JACKETS have done some subtle changes here, most notably with that gorgeous saxophone line.
They’ve switched its role, and rather than contributing to the overall feel of the song, it’s now the centre of attention. It’s soulful and quite haunting, and I think this is why this mix resonates so much with me.
SATIN JACKETS have proved that it’s the subtleties in a song that make it what it is, but their sound is so damn distinctive that they’ve left us coming back for more.
