UK based rapper, LOYLE CARNER, has just dropped a new video for his single fantastic single, 'Stars & Shards'.
'Stars & Shards' is a fast paced, boom bap hip hop track. The track itself features some smooth guitar and shimmering percussion for production and Loyle Carner himself spitting hot fire for the vocals. The raps on this track are rhythmically fast,with solid delivery while also maintaining substance within the lyrics which you can pick apart over a few listens. The track overall is a great listen for any Hip Hop head.
The video is directed by Anna Ginsburg who used a mix of hand drawn visuals next to filmed shots of Loyle Carner. Ginsburg is quoted saying that: "It was a wonderful challenge trying to visualise the fast paced narrative of the verses using hand drawn animation." The fast paced animation go well with the overall feel of the track and also makes for some great visuals on their own.
Loyle Carner is coming down from his debut EP and hopefully will be following it up in the near future.
