Sydney producer and singer-songwriter JACK GRACE has released a string of impressive singles over the past few months, and 'row me home' is no exception. The third release off Grace’s forthcoming If I Tremble EP, the track is a delicate meditation on the distance between two lovers.
'row me home' opens with a deep sigh, setting the tone for a track that is both pleading and resigned. "You said you're leaving and heading home," croons Grace, "I don't know where to go." His raw vocal performance is the star of the track, backed by a dreamy ocean of synths, distorted vocals and piano chords that echoes the nautical metaphor. Grace is a master of simplicity, conveying universal emotions with his unique blend of heart and sophistication.
Grace recently performed the EP for the very first time at Hibernian House in Surry Hills, Sydney, to a rapturous audience reception. He was accompanied by his friend, band mate and fellow beat-maker Christopher Port, as the pair often collaborate on their experimental work.
If I Tremble is set for release in March, and the hype has been steadily building with each new release from Jack Grace. Heartbreaker 'row me home' does not disappoint.
