GANZ has put a spotlight on the new remix to 'Light Years' by tour mate AKOUO.
'Light Years' Featuring Maribelle originally had more of an organic element to it as it starts with a grand piano and then builds into the main parts of the track that include synths, but it's vocals mainly stay unprocessed with little to no effects and the piano is a staple part of the track.
Akouo's remix on the other hand doubles down on the electronic aspects that GANZ hinted at and makes something that has some real punch to it. The remix has these huge synths along with these repeating erratic kick drum which just thumps on most of the song. Akouo does a great job with this track as it seems to transcend the original into something of completely different style.
Ganz has started his nationwide tour with Akouo and will be playing shows at Splendour as well as venues around Australia. I'm looking forward when they come around to my city and for any other work these artists do together in and out of the studio.
