Diplos latest track 'About That Life' with Jahan Lennon will ensure you won’t ever need to buy dodgy acid from your cousins mates again.
Have you ever wanted to pop some acid and put on a vintage record from the 60’s that you purchased at your local vinnies for about $2 and just go back in time to when things where simpler and music was an extension of the soul and a movement of the people?
Well with Diplo’s latest track you won’t ever need to buy dodgy acid from your cousins mates again.
The track opens up with some super chill out acoustic guitar backed up with a bit of mellow eastern percussion. Soon enough some ghostly vocals echo in and all of a sudden nothing around you matters, you are very quickly roped into this track and sucked into its hallucinogenic properties without a word of warning.

Many will argue that this recent track doesn’t fit the bill or meet the standard criteria of a Diplo produced song, It is missing the familiar sound of gunshots, shouting men, air horns, abrasive beats and Jamaican vibes but it still is a killer track and does an amazing job of recreating a classic sound that is perfect for just chilling out or for those long summer drives with mates that so many of us are going to be embarking on the coming months. The song keeps its mellow vibe throughout the song yet still manages to build up and make you want to move and groove to the beat.
Is this the least “Diplo” track to ever come out of the famed American DJ?
Yes is the short way to answer it but it doesn’t make this any less of a great tune, I guarantee this track will gain a strong following and any true fans of Diplo will continue to listen to the great stuff he is creating all whilst he gains new fans with the sudden new sound he has adopted for the time being.
Listen to it, love it, take in the vibes and stay of acid.
