'Everything Fell Off': The Struggles That Birthed Telenova's New Album, 'The Warning'

Live Review: LISTEN: Banks 'Waiting Game' (Loston Rework)

Loston has returned with a new rework of a haunting Banks track.

Our favourite Perth synth-wizard LOSTON has returned with his first rework of 2014. 2013 was LOSTON's biggest year with adaptations of both JAMES BLAKE's track 'Retrograde' and SAMPHA's 'Too Much' becoming extremely popular online.

The new rework of BANKS' smooth track 'Waiting Game' is slightly different to LOSTON's previous offerings but it's also proving that the man has a lot more to offer.

'Waiting Game' is a haunting track which showcases BANKS' deep vocals brooding above a harmonised whisper. The piano chords make the track feel that much more dark and really is one of her best ballads. Some growling synths also chug along in 'Waiting Game' but it seems LOSTON is more focused on the light whispering harmonies which dominate here.

We has a shimmering tambourine working together with some bright synths that create a calmer atmosphere on the track. 'Waiting Game' is not haunting, it is instead magical with high-pitched distorted vocals flying above soft hand claps and hollow-sounding percussion.
