"'Inji' is a mixed bag of emotions, sounding like everything that ever came out between 1981 and Daft Punk’s 'Discovery' era."

Some may remember Sam Eastgate, aka LA Priest, from UK dark indie band Late Of Pier.

That group hasn’t been active for quite some time but has contributed somewhat to Eastgate dusting off a side project he’s had in the pipeline a while. Taking inspiration from a trip to Greenland (and Peter Gabriel, surely?) where he did some research into electro-magnetic sound manipulation, Inji is a mixed bag of emotions, sounding like everything that ever came out between 1981 and Daft Punk’s Discovery era. Although not to everyone’s tastes, it’s an abstract adventure that’s a small delight nonetheless.
