This magical debut album from local Perthlings Joni In The Moon is without a doubt a stellar example of what this city is capable of producing. Joni Hogan's smooth, surreal vocals are complemented brilliantly by the edgy electronic, orchestral stylings of brother Josh, while world music influences do a little more than tickle at the edges. First track, Yellow Moon, and later L'il Star are standouts amongst the intoxicating rhythms; the chilled-out vibe of the album still has this incredible driving force behind every song.
