"This release should be considered a legitimate follow-up to Immunity and a worthy addition to Hopkins’ catalogue."
Being someone whose work seems to exist in a permanent state of twilight, Hopkins suits the Late Night template well, and it’s nice luxuriating in his lush, bruised techno headspace. He offers an all-star grab bag of like-minded artists like Bibio, Four Tet, Nils Frahm, Darkstar and Jonsi. While it’s a bit over-indulgent (Late Night Tales is consistently indulgent though, so…), it’s impressive to hear such an eclectic mix so in sync with his own style. This release should be considered a legitimate follow-up to Immunity and a worthy addition to Hopkins’ catalogue.
