The first time a woman hollered out, Jefferies zeroed in on her and tore her to shreds for being a distraction. It is best to know what you are getting yourself into at a Jefferies show.

More Jim Jefferies More Jim Jefferies

Jim Jefferies took to the stage of the Enmore Theatre and launched into a torrid, witless rant before a sold out audience. Jefferies laid it on thick and fast with jokes, that were intended to be shocking, about his child, about current affairs, about sex and about the failings of women. The audience were in stitches throughout.

The humour isn't for everyone though. It wasn't so much offensive as it was a bore. Any comedian can exploit prejudices with their jokes. The better comedians craft on-stage personas that critique such prejudices. It is hard to shake off the feeling that Jefferies genuinely despises the follies of his jokes. Men were hollering out to throughout the first half of the show with no response. The first time a woman hollered out, Jefferies zeroed in on her and tore her to shreds for being a distraction.
