Album Review: Interim - Escapism

"The tunes themselves are languidly, and sometimes sleazily, enjoyable."

The newie from Toowoomba's Interim sits in a very sweet spot, and could very well find itself appealing to fans of alt-rock, blues, psychedelia, '70s era hard rock a la Led Zeppelin, alt-folk and more.

Yep, they throw all of those sounds and influences into one big boiling pot and stir it around, and virtually all of it works a treat. Even better than that, it's pulled off with a strong sense of songcraft: the tunes themselves are languidly, and sometimes sleazily, enjoyable.

Escapism is effortlessly cool - check it out as soon as it hits the stores and web.
