Album Review: Honeybone - Spits & Curses

StarStarStarHalf Star

"Honeybone bring a new meaning to rock'n'roll with tunes that will get heads banging and tongue waging."

Honeybone bring a new meaning to rock'n'roll with tunes that will get heads banging and tongues waging.

Single Dance is lyrically blunt and gets a little aggressive towards the end with "Do you wanna dance? Or do you wanna fucking fight?" River tones it down with smoothing rock that would be a prefect slow dance song, or good for making love. Shake It Down is darker with throat-shredding vocals that give off Alice Cooper vibes, accompanied by some in incredible guitar riffs before Rachel Trainor takes over on vocals in Shotgun giving the song a grunge-rock feel.
