"An emotive guitar rock record rife with epic swells and euphoric catharsis."

Gold Coast production duo Greys have struck an uneasy chord with Lyre, presenting an emotive guitar rock record rife with epic swells and euphoric catharsis.

Holy War is an incredible maelstrom of squalling guitar and vocal integrity, a homage of sorts to the Australian guitar bands of the late '90s. Ss wavers in a centrifugal haze, a pastoral psych dream. Both Data Meta Theta and The Golden Years burn slowly, building to lackadaisical apexes that are as endearing as they are quiet in their states of rapture. Lyre — an album that is anything but grey.
