Exploring an array of topical issues, Tripped is a stirring pilgrimage of two very different men brought together in caustic circumstances. The show brilliantly exposes much of Australia’s misconstrued perceptions on race, religion, love, spirituality and manhood via a polarising vehicle of pop culture references and belligerent remarks, an apposition that is, together, shocking, beautiful, funny and enormously enlightening. More than successfully navigating a plethora of social and cultural landmines, Tripped is an exceptionally executed and sobering reminder that while we are all different, we are all humans inside.
