Originally, ‘Open Fire’, featuring Australian rock royalty Daniel Johns, felt very full. It probably makes you wonder how on earth Enschway was able to transform it, but don’t get ahead of yourselves people, we’ll get to that.
With extremely hard beats, heavy drops and a buzzing synth melody, ‘Open Fire’ feels like a wave of electronica that feels ever so refreshing when it washes over you. At least, that’s what it sounds like at first, before the track builds into a brand new series of drops that are quite light.

Chopped synths slide across Johns’ vocals and gradually, the remix gets harder as sharper synths are thrown in and your brought into more industrial territory.
It’s an amazing when a producer like Enschway can take such an intense track like ‘Open Fire’ and transition it into a territory that is quite unexpected. Stripping back a track to produce quite a minimal remix is quite common amongst producers, but to then add industrial elements, now that’s just pure genius.
