Album Review: Digitalism - Mirage

StarStarStar

"An epic listen, its 15 tracks spanning well over an hour of listening pleasure and tension."

More Digitalism Digitalism

Digitalism's 2007 Idealism set the bar high when it came to electronic music.

The German duo's debut full-length was experienced as blissfully in headphones as it was during their live shows, and nearly ten years later they're back to do it again with Mirage. It's an epic listen, its 15 tracks spanning well over an hour of listening pleasure and tension. Digitalism are at their best when unadulterated house music like Power Station hit your ears, or the claustrophobia of numbers like Dynamo crowd your headphones. Mirage isn't as life-affirming as Idealism was, but it's a solid listen nonetheless.
