Album Review: David Craft - Smokey Lungs And Dirty Puns

"I hope he continues what he’s doing, because this is a fantastic start."

David Craft's new five-track effort is a piece of work that just leaves you thinking, 'Man, what a lucky dude.' The guy has a rich baritone voice and in the first track – Boozy, Pt. 1 – he conjures up an incredibly raw and brooding sound reminiscent of Jack Ladder and by extension Nick Cave. Sell My Songs builds the momentum with some catchy lyrics and chorus harmonies, but the incredibly soothing nature of Craft's voice is still the standout of this piece. I hope he continues what he's doing, because this is a fantastic start.
