Album Review: Copia - Epoch

The Aussie heavy music scene is extremely healthy, in terms of the quality and talent it produces. However, not everything that comes out of this country is amazing.

Melbourne four-piece Copia are trying extremely hard to create something big, bold, bad and original here. The playing and production are strong. Epoch should be an excellent release, but unfortunately it falls a little flat. It feels a little uninspiring, the songwriting lacks in imagination and the songs just don't stay with you after they have finished.

The raw potential is absolutely there for these guys, there is just a little more work to do with regards to their song-crafting.
