Album Review: Alberta Cross - Alberta Cross

StarStarStarStar

"Best listened to as a whole, the record seems to traverse an entire continent, Stakee's alt-country lyrics delivered perfectly."

More Alberta Cross Alberta Cross

If an artist is willing to self-title a release, surely they consider it their best work yet.

Without having listened to everything Londoner via Brooklyn Petter Ericson Stakee, aka Alberta Cross, has ever produced, it's difficult to be definitive, however Alberta Cross is a mighty fine record and a legacy that any musician would be proud to put their name to. Best listened to as a whole, the record seems to traverse an entire continent, Stakee's alt-country lyrics delivered perfectly. From the horns on Get Up High to the sparse It's You That's Changing, it's hard to fault.
