US band Yeasayer's 2020 tour of Australia has been cancelled after the Brooklyn group announced they are breaking up this morning.

In a statement posted online today, Yeasayer members Anand Wilder, Chris Keating and Ira Wolf Tuton confirmed the split.

"We have decided that Yeasayer has reached its end,” the statement reads.

“It is a decision that has not been made lightly or swiftly, but the three of us agree that it is the right one at the time."

The Australian promoter for Yeasayer's 2020 tour today confirmed that refunds for the shows originally scheduled for mid-February in Brisbane, Melbourne, Sydney, Adelaide and Perth will be available via point of purchase.

After forming in 2006, Yeasayer were set to return to Australia in support of their June-released fifth LP, Erotic Reruns.
