Prepare yourself for this one...

If you've ever wondered what would happen if you bring together some of Australia's best and burgeoning bands for a Slipknot cover, today you have your answer.

Melbourne outfit Void Of Vision have teamed with Northlane frontman Marcus Bridge, Make Them Suffer's Sean Harmanis and Polaris' Ryan Siew for an epic take on Slipknot's 2008 single, Psychosocial; check it out below.

The news comes just a week after The Music exclusively announced Void Of Vision have signed booking agent deals in the UK, Europe and US.

"The whole idea for the collaboration stemmed from us wanting to build on what was shaping up to be a normal run of the mill cover, and to catch some attention and have as much fun with it as we could," vocalist Jack Bergin said.

"We also wanted to show the UK/Europe how a group of Australian musicians could tackle such an undoubtedly influential song to each and every one of us.

"I think we organised it all in literally a day, everyone was that keen to jump in on it that the rest of the story just wrote itself.

"We get to tour with friend’s bands through music all the time, but getting to work with them on the recording aspect of it is a whole new level of satisfying.”

Void of Vision will next support Northlane on their headline tour of the country this October, while Slipknot will also head to Australia that month in support of Metallica's stadium tour; check out theGuide for more details.

Slipknot are also expected to push for a #1 debut on this week's ARIA Albums chart with their new album, We Are Not Your Kind. Check out our recent interview with frontman Corey Taylor here.
