Story is developing
Veteran US artist Meat Loaf has collapsed on stage during a show in Canada just hours ago.
According to TMZ, the 68-year-old was in the middle of performing his hit track I'd Do Anything For Love at Jubilee Auditorium in Edmonton when he collapsed and lay motionless on stage.
Crew and band members rushed to his aid as the crowd looked on in shock.
His condition is currently unclear. Meat Loaf recently cancelled a number of shows due to an undisclosed illness.

More details are expected to follow shortly.
This is not the first time the veteran artist has passed out mid-show. In 2003, Meat Loaf collapsed on stage during a performance in London and again in 2011 at a Pittsburgh concert, though he did manage to see out the remainder of that particular show.

The news comes less than 24 hours after Status Quo guitarist Rick Parfitt suffered a suspected heart attack while on tour in Turkey.
As TV3 reports, the 67-year-old musician was hospitalised on Wednesday shortly after the band performed at Expo 2016.
"No further comment will be made at this stage until the completion of the next round of tests and assessments to be made over the next few days," Band manager Simon Porter said.
"We would ask you to respect the family's privacy at this difficult time."
