Urban Country Music Festival Unveils Full 2015 Program

More than 60 artists will hit Caboolture over a massive three days this May

Queensland's Urban Country Music Festival has officially revealed its full 2015 program, with the final spread of offerings spanning more than 60 artists over three days in Caboolture this May.

This year's event marks the 12th anniversary of the first Urban Country Music Festival, and organisers have ensured they waste no time in getting celebrations under way in a fitting manner, kicking off festivities on Friday, 1 May, from 3.30pm for the opening-night concert in Urban Parklands, featuring a warm-up DJ set from Claire Elliott before 2015 Toyota Star Maker winner Mickey Pye hits the stage, as well as previously announced drawcards such as Casey Barnes, Carl Wockner, Beccy Cole and 8 Ball Aitken.

The fun doesn't stop as the event moves into Saturday, with breakfast at the Urban Hotel picking the day up nice and early at 7am with a show featuring Wally & Mary Finch, Graham RodgerJohnny Greenwood, Mark Feldman and Trevor Tolton before the Urban Dance takes over from 9am. If you'd rather continue on the gig-going path instead, the KIX FM Village Stage is hosting performances across Saturday and Sunday from the likes of Carl Wockner, The BobkatzJared PorterTobyWomen In DocsPaddy McHugh and Damien Agius, 2014 Voice Of Urban winner Wal NeilsenMidnight Son & The Crime SceneKiara Rodrigues & Alabaster InkThe Redlands Bluegrass Boys and Greg "The Breaker" Austin

Additional attractions include the Songwriters' Cafe, allowing punters the opportunity to spend some quality intimate time with several of the festival's best and brightest; a full complement of entertainment at the Urban Hotel; the Urban Busking Competition and Voice Of Urban Competition, as well as sub-events FretFest, Champion Of Champions, the Hunt For Urban's Most Impressive Campsite and Youth On Stage; the MC stylings of triple j host Sarah Howells at the Urban Parklands stage, where acts such as The CairosThe BelligerentsLast DinosaursBritish India and Cloud Control come to their own; the Parklands-closing Urban Blaze concert, starring Cassi HilbersThe Harry Heart ChrysalisStealing LincolnLiam Brewjay Seeney and more; and the QSEC stage — home of the event's Main Concert — welcomes the likes of Christie LambThe Sunny CowgirlsThe BeardsLee Kernaghan and The Delta Riggs.

Tickets are still available, and include access to all festival attractions, stages, stalls, workshops and a complimentary photo booth and mechanical bull rides.
