"When you wake up to an immediate meeting about potentially canceling the show you’re trying to get to, you know it’s gonna be a day."
Here's a good news story about a show NOT being cancelled. Underoath posted on their socials about a challenging day getting through a snow storm that could have potentially put a full stop on their Denver show alongside Spiritbox, Bad Omens and Stray From The Path. The good news is...the day ended with ALL of the bands on the bill playing the show.
Underoath posted: "A crazy snowstorm between SLC and Denver made it so that our bus was unable to continue on to the show when we were still 2 hours away (and already 2 hours late). We got word that Spiritbox, Bad Omens, and Stray were having similar issues and them making the show was also up in the air.
We then got word that the venue said that if we could get enough stuff out of the trailer to make a show happen, they’d send someone in a van to pick us up. From there, our amazing crew shuffled a bunch of gear into our box truck, threw some t shirts in there, and our van arrived. We got to the venue waaaaaaay late, but everyone worked their tails off and, at the end of the day, every band got to the venue. Every band destroyed, and maaaaaaan did it feel good to see it all come together. Incredibly thankful that we along with Spiritbox Bad Omens Stray From The Path made it safely and still had an insane show after all. Thankful to our crew who works harder than you know to make it so we are able to do this. Also, thankful for everyone last night in that room that made it all worth it. Live music is amazing."
Wow, yesterday. When you wake up to an immediate meeting about potentially canceling the show you’re trying to get to,...
