“Fans who are worried about his acting ability, don’t sweat it."
It’s no surprise that the directors of Game Of Thrones are big UFC fans, and it seems their admiration of the sport will result in a cameo from Irish athlete Conor McGregor.
Rumours started circulating earlier this week when Belfast Live reported the mixed martial artist was “headhunted as it were by HBO” and he had agreed to appear.
Since then, UFC boss Dana White has confirmed McGregor will appear on the next season, telling TMZ he has known for a few months.
"And I'm glad he did it. It'll be great,” White said.

Furthermore, Game Of Thrones online community Watchers On The Wall reports they have received more information on the role.
“Conor McGregor will be playing a pirate belonging to Euron Greyjoy’s crew, on the ship Silence,” WOTW said.
“The part is a fairly small one, a cameo, so fans who are worried about his acting ability, don’t sweat it.
“There is no speaking involved with this part, and it’s definitely a short-term gig.”
Perhaps what caught the attention of GoT’s casting was last year’s Conor McGregor vs The Mountain viral video in which the two bare-knuckle fight.
The seventh season of Game Of Thrones is expected to air mid-2017, with seven episodes commissioned.
