The Australian popularity of Northern Irish band Two Door Cinema Club has been solidified this week with the indie rock outfit debuting at four on the ARIA Albums Chart this week with Beacon. Matchbox 20 went to the top with their new record North, which pushed Birdy down to two with her self-titled record and The Sapphires' soundtrack to three.

The first week of what will be a very busy week for album releases, the highest local debut came from The Angels with Take It To The Street, which has debuted at 24. Hardcore act In Hearts Wake managed 27 with their record Divination.

The ARIA Singles Chart held a status quo, with Guy Sebastian holding down top spot with Battle Scars, a Lupe Fiasco-featuring track which is making waves in the American charts as well.

Overseas Pendulum spin-off act Knife Party are enjoying chart presence with another single, Centipede. The track debuted at 86 in its first week in the UK Singles Chart.
