Two big sideshows for the Irish indie-rock kings, with some very special company.
The enormous Irish indie-rock powerhouse that is Two Door Cinema Club are making their return to Australia for the Falls and Southbound festival and have this morning announced that they will also be taking in sideshows in Melbourne and Brisbane with some very special guests.
The band have only just released their second album Beacon, a record which rocketed up the charts in Australia upon its release, hitting the number four position on the ARIA Album Charts; such was the anticipation the band built up following a killer debut in Tourist History and the awesome live shows they played all around the world in support of it that sold them to so many.
The band will play sideshows with support from The Vaccines, another band on their second album The Vaccines Coming Of Age, an album that sees the young band make a real progression – they've grown up quite a lot in the 18 months between releases. Being one of the most hyped bands in the world tends to do that to you, we guess.
Rounding out the bill are Brisbane purveyors of joyful pop The Jungle Giants who are no doubt destined for enormous things and have already started in the perfect way with the release of their great second EP She's A Riot earlier this year and plenty of big tours helping them spread the word about what they do so well.
