The jump has occurred in midst of a backlash against the streaming titan.

Spotify's cancellation page has seen a 196% increase in traffic this week.

The rise is a result of the massive backlash against the streaming titan due to their support of The Joe Rogan Experience.

Analytics firm SimilarWeb revealed the statistics to CNN, which compared traffic in the days between the 17th and 24th of January, to the 24th to the 31st of January.

The earlier week recorded 39,924 views, before jumping to 118,169 views the following week.

The lead researcher at the firm reflected on the massive jump, stating, "This is a huge spike."

"It implies people were passionate about the issue and took immediate action. We'll see if it keeps rising," they said.

The Joe Rogan Experience has faced a range of criticisms over the past month.

Most recently, a compilation video was released of Rogan repeatedly stating slurs on old episodes of the podcast.

He's also come under fire for spreading COVID misinformation on the platform with hundreds of academics and medical experts signing an open letter to Spotify.

Off the back of the controversy, music icons Joni Mitchell and Neil Young removed their music from the platform.
