Not bhed...

More Tones & I More Tones & I

Aussie singer-songwriter Tones & I is breaking records left, right and centre even in Europe.

Following its release in May, her second single Dance Monkey has been #1 on the Global Shazam Chart since 3 September, taking the position from Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello's Senorita.

Dance Monkey has received over one million Shazams per week for two consecutive weeks now and holds the 2019 record for most amount of Shazams in a single week. It originally entered the Shazam Global Top 200 on 10 July and is currently #1 on 26 of Shazam's country charts, including UK, France, Germany and Italy, with France being the biggest Shazamers.

Furthermore, Dance Monkey was the most-Shazamed song in a single day in France this year on 28 September.

Back in Australia, Tones & I is currently tied for the record of longest-running #1 single from an Aussie act after claiming her ninth straight week at the top of the ARIA Singles Chart with Dance Monkey

If she claims the top spot again this Saturday (for a total of ten weeks at #1), she’ll not only claim the record, but also be on track to be the longest-running solo female artist at #1, a record shared by Whitney Houston and Sandi Thom, both of whom had 10 week runs at the top.

To claim the all-time record on the ARIA Singles chart, Tones & I will need to spend 16 weeks at #1 to surpass Ed Sheeran’s Shape Of You.
