A very, very big deal!

More Tones & I More Tones & I

Byron Bay artist Tones & I is now tied for the record of longest-running #1 single from an Aussie act after claiming her ninth straight week at the top of the ARIA Singles Chart with Dance Monkey

The track is now tied with Justice Crew and their song Que Sera, which claimed the record back in 2014.

If Tones & I, real name Toni Watson, claims the top spot again next week (for a total of ten weeks at #1), she’ll not only claim the record, but also be on track to be the longest-running solo female artist at #1, a record shared by Whitney Houston and Sandi Thom, both of whom had 10 week runs at the top.

To claim the all-time record on the ARIA Singles chart, Tones & I will need to spend 16 weeks at #1 to surpass Ed Sheeran’s Shape Of You.

The track's success continues around the globe, having peaked at #1 in Denmark, Finland, Ireland, Norway and Sweden and securing a top ten spot on the UK charts today.
