This Aussie Band Is A Cautionary Tale For Local Acts Travelling Overseas

Friendship slam health insurance drama.

WA act Friendships have expressed extreme disappointment in their travel insurance following their return to Australia from New York's CMJ Music Marathon after band member Misha Grace was hospitalised during the trip.

Grace broke her humerus after falling from a roof during the band's stay in America and after flying back home earlier this week to undergo surgery, Friendships yesterday slammed the treatment they received in a heated Facebook post.

"Flew back to aus 4 surgery. Health, healing and voddy crans on the horizon," the post read.

"Truly disappointed in our travel insurance. The level of slime, manipulation and neglect we have received has been harrowing. hopefully they pull their necks in."

Meanwhile, Friendships will return to the stage in Melbourne next week as an audio-only show while Grace recovers, before they head to Melbourne Music Week, as well as being announced on next year's Golden Plains festival line-up.
