The charts will take up residence at their new home on December 3.

TheMusic.com.au is proud to announce the launch this Friday of Australia’s official airplay charts.

After nearly three decades of custodianship at The Music Network, the charts will take up residence at their new home on December 3, including the Radio Monitor Hot 50 Airplay, Countrytown Hot 50, Aussie 20, triple j 20, National Indigenous Music Chart and TikTok Viral 12.

The radio charts are powered by Radio Monitor, Australia’s industry standard for music monitoring across over 200 commercial, community, ABC and digital radio stations, creating a true snapshot of what is being heard on Australian radio.

“We are excited to have the Radio Monitor airplay charts housed here at TheMusic.com.au and look forward to a new audience for the artists that make the list,” said SGC Media CEO Stephen Green.

“Our coverage will expand in 2021 to include hit predictions and data driven analysis of not just the artists making the chart, but the ones that will in the future.”

The airplay chart is the first in a range of new initiatives for TheMusic.com.au that will roll out in 2022 after the title’s acquisition by SGC Media in October. The company also publishes Purple Sneakers and Countrytown as well as produces The Faction metal radio in conjunction with Collision Course.
