During the first weeks of the US release of The Temper Trap's second, self-titled, album the Australian band will play live on two of the country's most watched late night shows.

Temper Trap are booked to appear on Late Show With David Letterman on Thursday - that episode will screen here Friday evening on Ten (the show usually airs after midnight in the early hours of a Saturday morning). The band are then booked to appear on Jimmy Kimmel Live! Thursday 14 June - the show does nort screen in Australia.

In a trailer spruiking the forthcoming Letterman spot - and the show's webcast concert series (below), band members talk about how they've always wanted to play on the show. But keyboardist Joseph Greer points out, "It's a little bit scary."

Singer Dougy Mandagi adds that the new material is going well on tour, "No one's thrown any like rotten fruits or shoes at my head... yet."
