More Bryce Dessner More Bryce Dessner

Critically acclaimed guitarist of world-loved The National (and lesser known founding member of The Clogs), Bryce Dessner is teaming up with the equally illustrious Kronos Quartet to release his first recorded work as a composer, Aheym, which is out on Friday 8 November.

Translating as "homeward" from Yiddish, the title track of Aheym was inspired by the story of Dessner's Jewish immigrant grandparents, and became such a powerful piece that it had to become the title of the album.

While Dessner's musical history is widely known, as is that of the Kronos Quartet, who have performed alongside names such as Tom Waits, David Bowie and Paul McCartney (amongst countless others) over their career - of which they are celebrating their 40th anniversary. Also featuring on the album is the Brooklyn Youth Chorus.

The collection contains four songs, entitled:
1. Aheym
2. Little Blue Something
3. Tenebre
4. Tour Eiffel
