In a major win for the Aussie music scene, The Kid LAROI — alongside his mother Sloane Howard — stepped onto the prestigious grounds of the White House for a state dinner hosted by President Joe Biden and First Lady Jill Biden on Wednesday (Oct. 25).
This illustrious event was in honour of Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese and his partner Jodie Haydon, with around 325 esteemed guests witnessing the gala.
LAROI (aka Charlton Howard) looked dapper as he donned a sleek black tuxedo jacket, a crisp white shirt, and polished black shoes, while mum Sloane exuded elegance in a form-fitting black gown for the special occasion.
As the evening unfolded, The Kid LAROI mingled with other famous faces who had been invited as guests, including The B-52s, who were originally slated to perform at the event before it was cancelled on Tuesday.
“While we had initially planned for the legendary B-52s to perform their iconic dance and party music, we are now in a time when so many are facing sorrow and pain,” First Lady Dr. Jill Biden said on Tuesday.
“So we’ve made a few adjustments to the entertainment portion of the evening.”
The news comes amid The Kid LAROI taking to social media last week to announce the release date of his new album, The First Time, after a 30-second video teaser having dropped back in January.
