Californian psych/garage mainstays The Growlers will return to Australia early next year for a tour jaunt along the east coast in belated support of their recently released fifth studio full-length, Chinese Fountain.

The extensive run of shows gets under way at Bateau Bay's The Entrance Leagues on Wednesday, January 7, and from there takes in performances at The Small Ballroom, in Newcastle, on January 8, Sydney's Roller Den on January 9, the Mona Vale Hotel on January 10, Anita's Theatre, in Wollongong, on January 11, Melbourne's Corner Hotel on Wednesday, January 14, the Karova Lounge, in Ballarat, on January 15, Geelong's Barwon Club on January 16, The Great Northern, in Byron Bay, on Wednesday, January 21, Coolangatta's Cooly Hotel on January 22, new Brissy haunt The Triffid on January 23, and wrapping up at Maroochydore's Sol Bar on Sunday, January 25.

The Growlers are all warmed up to melt some Australian faces, fresh from having toured the US, UK and much of mainland Europe, including staging their third annual "Beach Goth Festival" alongside DIIV, The Drums, Cherry Glazerr, Joyce Manor, Mariachi El Bronx and more, and local punters have a more-than-ample number of chances to make a date with the off-kilter favourites, with further dates yet to be announced in addition to the existing fourteen on offer. Tickets for The Growlers' 2015 east-coast tour are available now; head to theGuide or see The Music App for a full rundown of booking information.
