He returns to the stage after a two-year hiatus to perform a range of solo dates.

Following the release of Quiet Heart: The Best Of The Go-Betweens, one of the band's founding members, Robert Forster, has announced he will take the stage solo after a two-year absence,

With a gigantic catalogue of music stretching 13 years and nine records with The Go-Betweens and song writing partner Grant McLennan, as well as four solo albums, fans can expect a show cross-sectioning his acclaimed career – old and new.

In 2005, Forster took up music criticism for The Monthly magazine, and won the Pascal Prize for Critical Writing the following year. He has been anthologised and released his own book, The 10 Rules of Rock and Roll, two years ago.

His break from playing to writing didn't break his passion for performing, making his much-awaited stage return with five dates down the east coast.
