In the Days When the World Was Wide will be out next month.
Aussie music legends Ron Peno and Kim Salmon return as The Darling Downs to release their first album in six years, and they're taking their sound in a mysterious new direction.
Named after a collection of Henry Lawson's work, their new LP In the Days When the World Was Wide heralds a simpler day and age. Bringing bluegrass, folk, indie rock and a dash of country gospel to the new tracks, The Darling Downs consider this album a career highlight, which is really saying something coming from these blokes.
With Ron on vocals and Kim fleeting between banjo and guitar; the twosome have left their past successes by the wayside to pave a new road together with The Darling Downs intriguing sound.
The band took to crowdfunding to get the album finished, with some great perks giving fans the chance to get up close and personal with the act.
