Tobi Vail, drummer of 90's punk outfit Bikini Kill, has filed a copyright infringement notice against Hillary Clinton and her campaign for using 'Rebel Girl' in a recent online video.
The removal of the video from YouTube and the like, since the filing of the infringement, has been swift as now when you go to play the video, it comes up with a brief message saying:
"Hillary: R..." This video is no longer available due to a copyright claim by Tobi Vail".
Furthermore, a lot of people have pointed out that the use of the song doesn't quite fit with the candidate considering her time on the Walmart board, allegedly taking money for speeches from Goldman Sachs, and for critiquing other Democrats over health-care, among various other things.

The drummer (pictured above on the far left) tweeted the following a few days ago about the current presidential campaign:
The Clinton Dynasty - The Clintons aren’t the solution to the plutocratic status quo — they are the status quo. https://t.co/lgMykm33RF

This wouldn't be the first time a running candidate has used various artists' music without the proper authorisation, either. Donald Trump used Adele's 'Skyfall' and 'Rolling In The Deep', Rudy Giuliani used The Clash's 'Rude Can't Fail', Ronald Reagan used Bruce Springsteen's 'Born In The USA', and more recently Dropkick Murphy's and Aerosmith's Stephen Tyler have both told candidates not to use their songs, and the list goes on.
The song itself came from the riot grrrl group's second album, 'Pussy Whipped', which was released back in 1992.
You can check out the original tune that was used below, if you somehow haven't heard of it.
