Welcome back!
Back from the archives, '70s rock band Taste are setting out on a national tour this July in celebration of their latest single single I Am God, taken from their forthcoming album Life On Earth.
Forming while they were still in their teens, only to disband just before their signing to Sire Records in the United States in 1979, Taste made their mark on the music scene having appeared on the television shows Countdown and Bandstand, the release of their hit single Boys Will Be Boys, as well as being chosen to open for Queen, they were destined for great things.
Forty years later, with Ken Murdoch on keyboards and lead vocals, Joey Amenta on lead guitar and vocals, Damian Corniola on drums and Michael Tortoni on bass, they plan to finish what they started having already played a one-off show with original drummer Virgil Donati.
Life On Earth is set to be released 27 May and frontman Ken Murdoch explains, "The songs poured out of me … I knew where it was going. It’s a big album...[of] religion, life, death, terror, murder and zombie love."

Energetic and progressive, Murdoch insists, "It's a pretty full-on show that shows off the chemistry of the band, who’ve played together nearly all their lives. It’s pretty musically complex, heavy, and evokes some mighty vocals and guitar solos."
Taste will shake Crowbar in Brisbane on 1 July, Fowlers Live in Adelaide on 9 July, Frankie's Pizza Bar in Sydney on 14 July and The Corner in Melbourne on 16 July.
