In a huge scandal over the weekend, a slew of musicians including Tame Impala, Tenacious D and Bring Me The Horizon have had their Twitter accounts hacked with numerous offensive tweets.
As Pitchfork reports, the hackers posted bomb threats to airlines using Tame Impala's Twitter account, while on Tenacious D's account, the hackers tweeted out that Jack Black had died.

Bon Iver, who has just played a series of shows in Sydney as part of Vivid Festival, was also attacked with insensitive tweets towards the late Muhammad Ali. He also had his Twitter handle changed from @boniver to @ihavelegcancer.

Cody Simpson, Bring Me The Horizon, Keith Richards, Twenty One Pilots and Pierce The Veil's accounts were also hacked, though they have all removed the offending tweets and offered apologies.
Earlier today Keith’s Twitter account was hacked along with other verified accounts. The hateful tweets that were posted have been removed.
